Grappling stone faced with Calamity Ganon with an inner fury to match the behemoth in front of him, the only two things that ran through his mind were saving the princess and leaving Ganon to rot so they may finally have peace again. Rushing to the castle, deflecting every laser turned his way, and finally, the last fight. He would feel guilty that he had gone and done all these stupid things, never imagining that the trauma from long ago would run so deep. Link, upon recovering all of his memories, would rush to save the princess, internalizing their bond and realizing that this was his life goal.

Even in the most dire hour, she was able to appreciate the small things that showed there was indeed a chance to heal from everything that had happened, that life would move on. These things gave her hope, and even if her knight took just a bit longer to get to her, it would all be worth it. While not necessarily seeing everything, Zelda has seen glimpses of Link’s shenanigans that he embarked on as he prepared himself to fight calamity ganon Link being spooked (only slightly he would reassure her later) when a Korok jumped the first time from a rock he was inspecting, being bucked off a horse moments after leaving the Great Plateu, even being kicked out from Gerudo Town the first time before he obtained his disguise. A lot of people always say how done Zelda must be seeing Link (aka the player) running around doing stupid shit before freeing the castle, but honestly, I hate that take so here’s a new one.
